“Flora and Fauna,” a show of acrylic paintings of flowers, birds and other animals by ECAA artist Barbara Rockhold will be exhibited at Payn’s Stationery, 1791 Solano Ave., Berkeley, from July 15 to Sept. 16.

Barbara studied at College of the Redwoods, U.C. Berkeley Extension and CCAC before graduating from San Jose State University with a double major in art and psychology. Later she obtained her Community College Teaching Credential in Art, Design and Photography from U.C. Berkeley.

“My career was in the field of graphic design and I taught design at Contra Costa College. I also worked as an ad designer at The Daily Californian newspaper in Berkeley and was a co-owner of a graphics and typesetting business,” she said.

Now, as a painter, her artworks are derived from interests in the areas of art, music, psychology and spirituality and also her love of the beauty in nature. Her exhibit can be seen during regular business hours, Monday-Saturday, 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
