Dale Mead is leading a field trip Saturday, February 21, of the Berkeley Camera Club to photograph Victorian houses in Alameda. Dale is inviting ECAA members to join. Whether you are a photographer or an artist who takes photographs for inspiration, this tour should prove a visually rich afternoon. Alameda claims the best selection of Victorian houses in the East Bay, and every September the Alameda Museum organizes tours of selected homes, including interiors hosted by their owners. The tour will focus on exteriors of homes personally recommended by long-time museum docent Ron Ucovich for their physical beauty.
Participants will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Alameda Museum, 2234 Alameda Ave., when it opens and look around this remarkable museum. Then will go to one of five streets Mr. Ucovich has graciously suggested. The style is to scatter at a given location for 15-30 minutes, then move together to another venue. We will shoot until roughly 5 p.m., then have dinner together.
To sign up, please email Dale Mead at email@example.com. Make sure you have “field trip” in the subject. If you have questions, feel free to call Dale at 510-232-5142. Last-minute attendees are welcome; simply show up at the museum. Dale typically sends a final detail email a couple days before to those on the sign-up list including inviting attendees to carpool.
