Phyllis Whiteman’s paintings will be on display at the El Cerrito library from through June 25.

Phyllis was born in New York city and moved to California in 1958 where she worked in office management and raised two sons. After retiring she went back to school and received her BA degree in Art from San Francisco State University. She taught art at Contra Costa College for three semesters and retired again. Now Phyllis volunteer teaches painting at the Richmond Annex Senior Center, Yoga at the Universalist Unitarian Church of Berkeley and enjoys working in ceramics.
She has four granchildren, one great grandson and another on the way.
