Following a brief business meeting at 7:30, our program for May 9th will feature a watercolor demonstration by Carolyn Lord, an artist who enjoys painting landscape, gardens, and architecture.
Watercolor Artist magazine published a multi-page article on her work in its February 2015 issue, and she recently served as Juror of Selection for the 2016 Adirondack National Exhibition of American Watercolors.
Lord is a Signature Member of both the California Art Club and the National Watercolor Society. She is a 1978 graduate of Principia College, IL, and most recently studied Echorche and Composition at the Golden Gate Atelier in Oakland, with many workshops, exhibitions and awards in between.
She is now preparing for a group show at Oh-Be-Joyful Gallery in Crested Butte, as well as a solo show at the Grand Gallery in Tracy, CA, September 2016.
Upcoming workshops and classes will be at KALA, Mendocino Art Center, and Carmel.
