February 1 – Tilden Park, Brazil Building

Enter Tilden from the intersection of Spruce/Grizzly Peak Blvd onto Wildcat Canyon Rd. Follow this to the point that Shasta Rd enters Tilden. The Brazil Bldg. is on your left, parking lot entrance is just beyond the junction. Views include the hills and Tilden Botanical Garden just beyond. You can also enter Tilden by the Shasta Rd entrance from Grizzly Peak Blvd.

February 8 – Wildcat Canyon at Monte Cresta Ave

Directions: Go North on Highway 80 toward Sacramento. Exit right on to San Pablo Dam Road (the one after McBryde). Right onto Morrow Dr. Take next left onto Hillcrest. Follow Hillcrest as it turns sharply right. Second right on Bonita Rd. Left on Monte Cresta Ave. The hillside opens out onto vistas of the parklands & the bay

February 15 – Meeker Slough, Richmond

Directions: From Berkeley, N. Oakland take Hwy 80 getting onto 580 toward Richmond Bridge. Take South 23rd St./Marina Bay exit off 580. Turn left over highway on Marina Bay(1st traffic light.) Continue on Marina Bay across Regatta (4th traffic light). Turn left on to Bayside Dr. Parking in small area accessing path to Slough

February 22 –Blake Gardens

Directions: From Berkeley, N. Oakland : The Alameda to the Circle, Arlington Ave, left on to Rincon, first parking lot on right is Blake. From Alameda. Arlington Ave, right onto Rincon. Looking for early spring blooms.
