MARCH 7: WESTBRAE NURSERY, 1272 Gilman Ave, Berkeley
The Nursery stands at the triple intersection of Masonic Ave, Santa Fe Ave,
and Gilman Street. In addition to the nursery grounds, scenic views are close
by in the Ohlone Greenway. Also, this bit of local art history—50 years ago
(1979!) on the west-facing wall of Berkeley Bagels (then Toot Sweets) public
artist John Wehrle first painted his homage to East Bay wetlands, “ancisco”.

MARCH 14: TILDEN REGIONAL PARK BOTANIC GARDEN, Shasta Road, Berkeley
FROM THE ARLINGTON TRAFFIC CIRCLE take Marin Ave. up to
Grizzly Peak Blvd. Turn right (south) onto Grizzly Peak, then left onto
Shasta Road. The Garden is just east of the Brazilian Room where Shasta Road becomes Wildcat Canyon Road. FROM BERKELEY OR POINTS SOUTH take I-
80 to the University Exit. From University Ave. east turn left onto Oxford St, then right onto Rose St., then left onto Spruce St. Follow Spruce St. uphill till it turns into Wildcat Canyon Road. The Garden is at the intersection of Wildcat Canyon Rd and South Park Dr. The parking lot is on the right.

MARCH 21: LIVE OAK PARK, 1301 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley (between
Berryman St. and Eunice St.)
Live Oak Park and Codonices Creek offer countless classic East Bay views.
Meet by the benches in the park.

MARCH 28: HILLSIDE NATURAL AREA, El Cerrito
Just west of El Cerrito Recycling Center, 7501 Schmidt Lane, El Cerrito. FROM SAN PABLO AVE take Moeser Ln east up to Navellier St. Turn left onto Navellier St., then right onto Schmidt Ln. Park on the street and walk up the little trail past the sign for Hillside Natural Area. Meet at the tables there.
