August 10  – Margo Fago Watercolor Demo Via Zoom!! 7 – 8:30 pm

Join us as we host watercolorist Margaret Fago in our very first online demonstration! She will work from a photo with reflections to show how the abstract framework holds a composition together. Photo and supplies list included if you would like to paint along. Water is a subject that has fascinated Margo for years. She loves to observe its many moods, expressed in varied surface patterns, colors, and lights. Margo spent thirty years as a sail maker partner of Hogin Sails while also a Sunday watercolor painter. She has been painting full time since 2005.

Materials she will be using:
Paint:  Cobalt blue, Phythalo blue, Ultramarine blue, Quinacridone Rose, Vermillion,
Burnt Sienna, Sap Green
Brushes: 1.5” flat, #6, #12,#18 round bushes…Da Vinci Cosmotop for the rounds,
Robert Simmons skyglow for the flat
Masking fluid (liquid Frisket):  Pebeo brand drawing gum
Paper: Arches 140 lb block 9X12”
She transfers drawings to the painting surface with graphite transfer paper.

Margo teaches Watercolor Dynamics and Drawing Dynamics at the Frank Bette
Center for the Arts in Alameda, as well as a weeklong Plein Air Watercolor
workshop at the Feather River Art Camp near Quincy CA.
