September 2: 605 Addison, Aquatic Park, Berkeley This public park at the intersection of Addison St and Bolivar Dr was created by the WPA in the 1930’s. It has views of the water, the footbridge over the freeway, and the buildings. New benches face the water. From San Pablo Ave turn west towards the bay on Cedar St then left onto Fourth St. Continue under the freeway and take the first right onto Addison. Cross the railroad tracks to the dead end into Aquatic Park. Turn left onto Bolivar, park on the left.

*September 9: Sue Otten’s backyard deck, 2227 Cypress Ave, San Pablo overlooking San Pablo Bay with panoramic views of the Bay Trail. Mt. Tam, Point Pinole, Sonoma County. Directions: North on I-80 to Appian Way exit. Turn left onto Appian Way west to San Pablo Ave.  Turn left onto San Pablo Ave to Pinole Shores Dr and turn right, west to Del Monte Dr. Turn Left.  After the roundabout, turn right onto Cypress Ave.  The dark gray house is on the right just past the intersection of Meadowlark St.  Park on the street.

*September 16: Kirston Koth’s Garden 2646 Mira Vista Dr. El Cerrito A return to this wonderful backyard garden! From San Pablo Ave. take Barrett uphill and turn left (north) OR follow Arlington Blvd. and turn downhill at Barrett. Continue west toward the bay to Mira Vista Dr and turn right. Go through the gate at the right side of the house.

*September 23: Botanic Garden Tilden Regional Park, Berkeley From the Marin Traffic Circle take Marin Ave up to Grizzly Peak Blvd. Turn right (south) onto Grizzly Peak, then left onto Shasta Rd. The Garden is just east of The Brazilian Room where Shasta : Rd becomes Wildcat Canyon Rd. From Berkeley or points south take I-80 to the University Ave Exit and turn towards the hills. Continue on University Ave and turn left onto Oxford St, then right onto Rose St, then left onto Spruce St. Follow Spruce uphill as it becomes Wildcat Canyon Rd. Parking lot on the right.

*September 30: Blake Gardens 70 Rincon Rd, Kensington From the north, take Arlington Ave to Kensington and turn right onto Rincon Rd. then right again into the parking lot. From the south, turn left before the flashing light at the Kensington Library onto Rincon Rd., then right into the parking lot. Rincon Rd meets Arlington Ave both north and south of the big church on the west side of Arlington Ave.
