October 7: 6802 Snowdon Ave, El Cerrito, CA 94530. Another tradition resumed, of painting at El Cerrito Garden Club’s Sundar Shadi Award-winning gardens. We are welcome to use the bathroom in his home. It’s a large corner garden on a quiet street.
October 14: Berkeley North Branch Library, 1170 The Alameda at Hopkins St. This is a favorite fall color location and a chance to draw the sycamore trees, the library, and surrounding environs.
October 21: Blake Gardens, 70 Rincon Rd, Kensington blakegarden.ced.berkeley.edu/. From the north, take Arlington Ave to Kensington and turn right onto Rincon Rd. Then turn right again into the driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. From the south, turn left shortly before the flashing light at the Kensington Library onto Rincon Rd. Then turn left into the driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. Rincon Rd meets Arlington Ave both north and south of the big church on the west side of Arlington Ave.
October 28: Hopkins Street, at Colusa Ave, Berkeley. This is a great place to draw the beautiful sycamore trees in their fall colors as they form an arch along Hopkins Street. Meet at the benches in front of the tennis courts.
