Show Postcards now Available

2016-ecaa-art-show-postcard-front-onlineThe annual art show is approaching and the postcards for the show will be available at our upcoming meeting on September 12. We have plenty of cards so please plan to take many and send them to your friends and spread them around in art related venues. Please feel free to have a fellow member pick up cards for you at the meeting if needed.
As usual, we’ll also have postcards available in a few public spots so if you can’t make it to the meeting you’ll still be able to get cards. The front of this year’s postcard, as well as a combination of the front and back, are included as JPEG files below. Please help spread the word!
And, if you haven’t already got your show applications in yet, please do so as soon as possible.

ECAA Annual October Art Show October 7, 8 and 9

Message from the President Jean Sichterman

I would like to invite all members to join the ECAA Annual October Art Show, October 7, 8, and 9th. Entry Forms have been sent out and can be submitted at any time. This year we will be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prizes of $100, $75, and $50 in each category. There will be more chances for you to gain recognition for your work. You can bring your artwork to the Community Center on Thursday, October 6th between 5:30 and 7:30pm. This is the most important opportunity we have to show the public the talents of our members.

I encourage all artists participating to volunteer, in some capacity, for duties carried on during the three days of the show. I know that you all appreciate the dedicated efforts of the members who help plan the show, install the show, and carry out the details to make the show a success. However, every one of our members is vital to the show’s success as well. I want all of our volunteers to feel they are a “team” working together for a great ECAA organization.

Sign-Up Sheets will posted at the September 12th Meeting or please feel free to contact me at jeansichterman@comcast.net.

Plexiglas and 15% Tap Plastic discount for ECAA

“Displaying art behind Plexiglas, or other acrylic, is becoming the industry standard.  This is driven by liability issues, as well as weight.  The Association has arranged for TAP Plastics to give members a 15% discount on 1/8” acrylic pieces. I you wish to take advantage of this discount, send an email to ecartassociation@gmail.com.  A discount certificate will be sent to you.  Print it out and take it with you to TAP Plastics at 10760 San Pablo Avenue, El Cerrito, CA.

For those of you who prefer to sell your art behind glass, we recommend you create a few reusable ‘display” frames with acrylic that you can use when you put your art in ECAA venues and gallery spaces.”
