THE SECRET ART OF LISA YOUNT. I’ve been cutting out pictures from magazines, calendars, and whatever other sources I could lay my hands on since I was about four years old. Not too many years after that, I started combining them and pasting the results into scrapbook pages. I’ve continued those activities in (I hope) a more sophisticated way in recent years, primarily for my own enjoyment. I’ve often displayed my digital collages, but I am showing these physical paste-ups here for the first time. I hope you enjoy them!
LISA YOUNT is a 72-year-old artist and writer. She has been interested in art since childhood and has been working as an artist for more than 20 years. Most of her work is in the form of collages created in Photoshop from combinations of photos (many of them her own), line art, fractals, vintage paintings and postcards, and other materials. To see samples of these art works, see her website, www.lionlight.com, or her Fine Art America page, http://fineartamerica.com/profiles/lisa-yount.html.
