“If you can scribble, you can draw!” Local artist, designer and art advocate Laura Schofield will prove this point in her hands-on demonstration for our next program. She will concentrate on Conte stick and pencil for this demonstration and will provide materials so that we can all try Conte!
For the past 30 years, Laura has been active as an artist and educator both in the Sacramento and East Bay Area. As the Queen Bee of Artist BeeHive, her online clearing house for art activities, Ms. Schofield manages an ambitious schedule of classes from Redwood City, Concord, Benicia, Vallejo to Sacramento at the Crocker Museum. She also conducts private sessions, volunteer art education and has illustrated several books.
In all her activities she seeks the expressive, emotive qualities that art can represent. “It’s about placing your emotions from your heart into your artwork.” www.ArtistBeeHive.com
