Annual Art Show and Sale
Each year in October we host a non-juried exhibition which includes cash and merchant awards. Entries are open to visual artists working in a wide range of media including oil paint, watercolor, acrylic, drawing, graphic art, photography, digital, mixed media and sculpture.
Dates and categories are announced each year in early summer.
We meet each second Monday, February – November, from 7 – 9 pm, in the Garden Room of the El Cerrito Community Center.
Our programs feature area artists and speakers who provide demonstrations and talks on a range of media and interests.
These are free of charge and open to the general public as well as our members and guests.
Plein Air Painting Group
Our Plein Air group meets Thursdays at 11 am – 1:30 pm. Painting locations February – November are announced here on the website and in our members’ online newsletter, The Palette. During December and January we meet at the Blake Garden, 70 Rincon Road, Kensington blakegarden.ced.berkeley.edu as weather permits.
We welcome everyone – from watercolorists to acrylic painters, graphic artists to photographers. Come, join us and paint, draw or take photos!
We host booths for members to display their artwork and provide art activities at the City of El Cerrito’s annual July 4th Celebration.
The association sponsors rotating art shows at the Community Center main hallway, the El Cerrito Library, and the El Cerrito DMV.
Our exhibits change several times a year, and are featured in our monthly newsletter The Palette.
