We meet at the site on Thursdays 11am – 1:30 pm and welcome all artists. If you wish to share your work meet back at 1:15.
June 6: View from Roger Court, El Cerrito The location is off Potrero
Ave, east of Navellier Street. Turn north onto Roger Court, which goes
steeply uphill ending in a cul-de-sac. One side is the hillside with trees, the
other a sweeping view of El Cerrito and the Bay. Park diagonally on the
north side.
June 13: Blake Garden, 70 Rincon Road, Kensington Let’s see what
the Garden looks like in late spring. Directions: From the north, take
Arlington Avenue to Kensington and turn right onto Rincon Road. Then
turn right again into the driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. Coming
from the south, this is the flashing light at the Kensington Library. Turn left
shortly before the flashing light onto Rincon Road. Then turn left into the
driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. Rincon Road meets Arlington
Avenue both north & south of the big church on the west side of Arlington.
June 20: Albany State Marine Reserve, 1 Buchanan Street, Albany
(aka Albany Bulb) Directions: From I-80E driving north, exit at Buchanan
Street. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Buchanan Street. Continue
under the freeway, driving 0.4 miles towards the Bay and the north side of
Golden Gate Field. Continue to a parking area at the end of the Buchanan
Street. Look for the large metal sculpture of the three shorebirds. Driving
south on San Pablo Avenue, turn right on Buchanan Street and continue to
its end.
June 27: Berkeley Parklet in front of Pegasus Books and Zachary’s
Pizza, 1863-1823 Solano Avenue, Berkeley. This is a public outdoor
seating area near the Oaks Theater [now closed]. From here you can draw
the shops or the view toward the Berkeley Hills.
