We meet at the site on Thursdays 11 am – 1:30 pm and welcome all artists. If you wish to share your work, meet back at 1:15.
October 3 – No Plein Air Today. Complete those last-minute details and deliver your art for the 2019 Annual Art Show & Sale. Check-in is 5-7pm today at the El Cerrito Community Center.
October 10 – Hopkins Street at the Corner of Colusa Avenue, Berkeley. This is a great place to draw the beautiful sycamore trees in their fall colors as they form an arch along Hopkins Street. Meet at the benches in front of the tennis courts.
October 17 – King Court, El Cerrito. From Arlington Boulevard turn downhill (west) onto Moeser Lane, then right onto King Drive. After Shevlin Drive bear left onto King Court and park at the dead end. From San Pablo Avenue turn uphill (east) onto Moeser Lane, then left onto King Drive, and bear left onto King Court. Park, and meet at the end of King Court.
October 24 – Lake Anza, Tilden Park. There is scenery of the lake and trees. Google Directions: At the Marin Circle stay on Marin Avenue and continue to Grizzly Peak Boulevard. Turn left onto Grizzly Peak. Turn right onto Sunset Lane. Make a slight right onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Next turn left onto Central Park Drive. Turn left to stay on Central Park Drive. Then turn right onto Lake Anza Road. Turn left to stay on Lake Anza Road. The parking lot will be on the right. Meet in the parking lot near the swim center pathway.
October 31 – Blake Garden, 70 Rincon Road, Kensington. Let’s see what the Garden looks like on Halloween. Directions: From the north, take Arlington Avenue to Kensington and turn right onto Rincon Road. Then turn right again into the driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. Coming from the south, this is the flashing light at the Kensington Library. Turn left shortly before the flashing light onto Rincon Road. Then turn left into the driveway for the Blake Garden parking lot. Rincon Road meets Arlington Avenue both north and south of the big church on the west side of Arlington Avenue.
