Join us for our next program on Nov 9th 7 pm via Zoom!

Julie knows that watercolor painting is magical, mysterious and exhilarating. “Often in the very same moment, I am in control and out of control as I paint, creating a fine balance of concentration and play.” Julie enjoys helping students feel more confident in this watercolor conversation as they develop keen technical and improvisational skills. She emphasizes color theory, the value scale, composition, drawing and a variety of watercolor techniques applied to various subjects. She sees watercolor painting as a course of study that, due to its dance across the paper, encourages a “freeing of the soul.”
