We meet Thursdays 11 am – 1 pm and welcome all artists. In keeping with COVID-19 precautions, please bring and wear a face mask in accordance with CDC guidelines and courtesy towards others, as we move into fewer restrictions.
May 6: Lake Anza, Tilden Park
There is scenery of the lake and trees. Google Directions: At the Marin Circle stay on Marin and continue to Grizzly Peak Blvd. Turn left onto Grizzly Peak. Turn right onto Sunset Ln. Make a slight right onto Wildcat Canyon Rd. Turn left onto Central Park Dr. Turn left to stay on Central Park Dr. Turn right onto Lake Anza Rd. Turn left to stay on Lake Anza Rd. Meet in the parking lot near the swim center pathway. *
May 13: Albany State Marine Reserve, 1 Buchanan St, Albany (aka Albany Bulb)
From I-80E driving north, exit at Buchanan Street. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Buchanan Street. Continue under the freeway, driving 0.4 miles towards the Bay and the north side of Golden Gate Field. Continue to a parking area at the end of Buchanan Street. Look for the large metal sculpture of the three shorebirds. Driving south on San Pablo Avenue, turn right on Buchanan Street and continue to its end. There is also new parking at the end to the left. You can hike up to the top of the new path and paint the view from the new rest area where there are benches and a picnic table. *
May 20: Meeker Slough, Richmond
From Berkeley, take I-80 north. Use the right two lanes to merge onto I-580 toward the Richmond Bridge. Take the South 23rd Street/ Marina Bay exit off I-580. Use the left two lanes to turn left onto Marina Bay Parkway at the signal light. Continue on Marina Bay Parkway, crossing Regatta Boulevard (4th traffic light). Turn left onto Bayside Drive. Continue to the end where there is a small area to park and a path that leads to the slough.
May 27: King Court, El Cerrito
From Arlington Boulevard turn downhill (west) onto Moeser Ln, then right onto King Dr. After Shevlin, bear left onto King Court and park at the dead end. From San Pablo Ave turn uphill (east) onto Moeser Lane, then left onto King Drive, and bear left onto King Court. Park, and meet at the end of King Court.
