A prominent plein air artist and collectible fine art studio painter, Sexton teaches at the San Francisco Academy of Art as well as private workshops and classes, including at Pixar Studios. An inspiring teacher, his workshops have been hosted in diverse destinations within the U.S. and abroad. 

The recipient of many prestigious juried awards in art shows throughout the U.S., Sexton has been acknowledged by artists, collectors, and jurors alike. He was inducted as a P.A.P.A. Signature Member in 2013 and in 2008, received the “Artists’ Choice Award” at the 10th Annual Laguna Beach Plein Air Event and was recently honored with “Artist Choice” awards at art festivals in both Carmel and Maui.

Randall has been featured in various national journals, including Plein Air Magazine’s featured article of his inspired “Train Air” excursion. Books and DVDs include  “Havana and Back” and “In the Moment”.  An instructional DVD, “Brushstrokes with Energy and Style”, is part of a PAPA series.
