We meet at the site on Thursdays 11 am – 1 pm and welcome all artists. We’ll resume meeting afterward at the site to share our work with each other at 1 pm.
February 6 Espresso Roma Cafe, 1549 Hopkins Street, Berkeley. Monterey Blvd. is the cross street. At this neighborhood coffee bar, you may stay and paint, go across the street to the Monterey Market, or down the block to Berkeley Horticultural Nursery.
February 13: Tilden Regional Park Inspiration Point
FROM BERKELEY take I-80 to the University Exit and go east towards campus. Turn left onto Oxford St., right onto Rose St., and left onto Spruce St. Follow Spruce uphill until it turns into Wildcat Canyon. At the intersection with Grizzly Peak Blvd continue straight ahead and follow Wildcat Canyon past the Brazilian Room and the Regional Parks Botanic Garden following the signs to Inspiration Point. Meet in the parking lot to the left.
February 20: Cragmont Rock Park, 960 Regal Rd, in Berkeley
There are lots of trees, rock formations and fantastic views of the Bay. From Arlington Blvd in El Cerrito, go south toward Berkeley. At the fountain at Marin Circle, take Marin Avenue and go uphill. Turn right onto Regal Road and park on the street.
February 27: Trail at 1100 King Court, El Cerrito
FROM ARLINGTON BLVD turn downhill (west) onto Moeser Ln., then right onto King Dr. Turn left onto King Court. FROM SAN PABLO AVE turn uphill (east) onto Moeser Ln., left onto Shevlin Place which will end at King Drive. Take a sharp left onto King Court and park along the street. Walk along the trail down to a beautiful view of the Bay, lots of mature trees, etc.
