Michael Friedland will give a presentation on art workshops in Italy  at La Romita, where he will be teaching watercolor this summer. Some of our members have been there in past years with instructors Lisa Guthrie, Charlotte Britton and David Savellano. He will teach a ten day watercolor workshop in Umbria (an hour northeast of Rome). La Romita School of Art is built around a 16th century chapel and olive grove that a family has owned for generations, now converted to an art school. The Renaissance era chapel is our studio. Every day after breakfast, the school’s bus takes us to visit, explore or paint in a different Medieval Hill Town—some incredible places to see. Upon arrival at the Rome airport, everything is included in the cost of the workshop. You are welcome to join us this summer!
