We meet at the site on Thursdays 11 am – 1 pm and welcome all artists. We’ll resume meeting afterward at the site to share our work with each other at 1 pm.
Sept 4: Indian Rock Park, 950 Indian Rock Ave, Berkeley.
From. Arlington Ave, enter the traffic circle in Berkeley and take the 6th exit onto Indian Rock Ave (just before the Arlington exit.) From Marin Ave, take the 5th exit onto Indian Rock Ave. The park is on the left.
Sept 11: Albany State Marine Reserve, 1 Buchanan Street, Albany (aka Albany Bulb) *
From I-80E driving north, exit at Buchanan Street. Turn left at the end of the ramp onto Buchanan Street. Continue under the freeway, driving 0.4 miles towards the Bay and the north side of Golden Gate Field. Continue to a parking area at the end of Buchanan Street. Look for the large metal sculpture of the three shorebirds. Driving south on San Pablo Avenue, turn right on Buchanan Street and continue to its end. There is also new parking at the end to the left. You can hike up to the top of the new path and paint the view from the new rest area where there are benches and a picnic table.
*Sept 18: Blake Gardens, 70 Rincon Road Kensington*
From the north, take Arlington Ave to Kensington and turn right onto Rincon Rd. then right again into the parking lot. From the south, turn left before the flashing light at the Kensington Library onto Rincon Rd., then right into the parking lot. Rincon Rd meets Arlington Ave both north and south of the big church on the west side of Arlington Ave.
*September 25: Lake Anza, Tilden Park
From Marin Ave. heading uphill, turn left onto Grizzly Peak Blvd. Turn right onto Sunset Lane. Take a slight right onto Wildcat Canyon Road. Turn left onto Central Park Drive, then turn right onto Lake Anza Road.

*Oct. 9: BERKELEY NORTH BRANCH LIBRARY, 1170 THE ALAMEDA. The cross street is Hopkins St. This is a favorite fall color location and a chance to draw the sycamore trees, the library and surrounding environs
*Oct. 16: POINT PINOLE: Meet at Atlas parking lot. (This is the North/newer parking lot) From I-580 east take the exit at Richmond Parkway/Castro Street and go north for about 5 miles on Richmond Parkway and turn left on to Atlas Blvd. The park entrance will be ahead on the left, past the railroad. From 1-80, exit at Richmond Parkway and turn left (West). Take Richmond Parkway west past San Pablo Ave, then turn right onto Atlas Blvd. The park entrance will be ahead on the left, past the railroad.
*Oct. 23: LIVE OAK PARK: 1301 Shattuck Ave., Berkeley, between Berryman St. and Eunice St. Live Oak Park and Codornices Creek offer countless classic East Bay views.
October 30: HILLSIDE MEMORIAL GROVE: 7501 SCHMIDT LANE, EL CERRITO. The entrance to the Hillside Natural Area is just below the El Cerrito Recycling Center, on the north side of Schmidt Lane, east of Navallier.
